Polyester Paracord 4 mm Black per meter – extra strong and superior UV resistance

This cord is comparable to Paracord 550 in terms of diameter and appearance. However, it offers several specific advantages:

Superior grip: Thanks to the 24-strand polyester sheath.
Nearly 2x higher break strength: In our tests, it reached 406 kg compared to 214 kg for standard Paracord 550.
Better UV resistance: Built to last longer in direct sunlight.
Low moisture absorption: Absorbs less water and does not lose break strength when wet, unlike nylon.

Stretch and Application

The main difference lies in the degree of stretch. Polyester paracord stretches significantly less than nylon paracord. If you require a cord with minimal stretch, polyester is the best choice.
If you prefer more flexibility and the ability to absorb shocks, Paracord 550 remains the better option.
