Made primarily for repairing (pleated) insect screens: thin enough to run through existing guides, strong enough to last for years again.
Manufacturers of this type of cord often state a breaking strength of 25 kg. We tested 0.8 mm Dyneema with polyester sheath on our tensile tester (ISO 2307:2019, 5 pulls). The core is pre-stretched Dyneema (HMPE): stronger than steel on a weight-for-weight basis, does not absorb water and keeps its strength when wet. Over the core sits a black, 32-plait polyester sheath. It protects against abrasion and UV, gives more grip than slick bare Dyneema, and makes the cord slightly stiffer — useful when pulling it back through a screen.
