How strong is rope after 10 years? We measured it.
As Dyneema and HMPE experts, we test rope ourselves on our own 50 kN tensile bench. Every test series consists of five pulls, following a protocol based on ISO 2307:2019. We don't just test new rope. We also measure how much strength a knot costs and what ten years of storage does to polypropylene. All results are public in our rope test database.
