Jute rope braided 3 mm to 8 mm

Our braided jute rope is available in diameters of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm and offers a natural, high-quality finish. Jute is a soft, lustrous plant-based fibre that is spun into firm, coarse strands. This fibre comes from the Corchorus plant, which grows mainly in warm, humid regions such as India, Bangladesh and China. After cotton, jute is the most widely used natural fibre and one of the most affordable options.

Jute fibres consist primarily of cellulose and lignin, resulting in a supple and soft rope. Keep in mind that rope made from soft natural fibres, such as jute, is susceptible to abrasion and not suitable for lifting applications. For this reason we do not specify a minimum breaking strength. In addition, the diameter of the rope may vary slightly due to natural differences in the harvest. Our braided jute rope combines a pleasant softness with flexibility, making it ideal for a variety of decorative or light-duty applications.
