Description
Polyester is more abrasion-resistant and UV-stable than PPMF mooring lines, but also significantly more expensive. Polyester sinks and has less stretch than PPMF.
These lines are recommended for rough water.
Breaking strength 12 mm Polyester: 2900 kg.
Breaking strength 14 mm Polyester: 3700 kg.
Available colours: White and Black.
Other diameters and lengths available on request.
These mooring lines are fitted with a stainless steel thimble on one end; the other end is finished with a specialist heat-shrink sleeve. We can produce these mooring lines in any length required, but we keep 2 lengths in stock.
Polyester specs: Specific gravity: 1.38 (this rope sinks). Temperature resistance: Flexible down to -40°C – melting point 260°C. Elongation: Elongation at break 19%, unchanged wet or dry. UV resistance: Good – fully stabilised. Flexibility: Remains supple – does not absorb water. Chemical resistance: Good, except against bases.
